About Us
The Toledo Networking Team was started in 2005 after Linda Parker had taken a networking course from Debby Peters of the Certified Networking and a designation was given as “certified Networker or CNP”. Many of the CNP’s have joined Business Networking Institution Groups commonly called BNI groups.
We started our networking group with 5 members representing 5 different career professions. Within a year we were up to 12 members and have grown to today’s Numbers which range at any given time from 22 to 25 members. About this time, Linda needed assistance with the group and Al Luna who is a marketing guru became the TNT Co-Coordinator along with Linda Parker. Don Brydges, of Wells Fargo Advisors, became Linda's new Co-Coordinator in late 2010.
Our meetings take on a casual atmosphere and are held the first and third Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. at Brandy’s Diner In Maumee. We try very hard to make sure the meetings last no longer than one hour. Members spotlight their business with a 10 to 15 minute presentation from time to time and indicate what type of referrals they are looking for at each meeting. They are also expected to report on their number of referrals in and out since the last meeting.
Guidelines were established in 2009 that are used to address attendance, membership, etc. The TNT web site was started in 2008 and can be located at toledonetworkingteam.org.
This is our history and we hope to achieve our objective of passing referrals among our members for many years to come. We also hope to grow our group while maintaining quality referrals.
